This
site contains information about the International Network for the Study
of Systemic Vasculitides. INSSYS was founded in 1991 for the purpose
of facilitating multi-center, international collaborations in clinical
and basic research into vasculitis, a general term used to refer to
a group of diseases characterized by inflammation of blood vessels.
The Network has grown from 15 to 55 institutions throughout the world.
Our membership is interdisciplinary, including individuals from many
medical, surgical and basic science disciplines
